CORE VALUES

Worship
Our desire is to put Jesus first in all that we do. We believe that dance should be used first and foremost as a form of worship. We implement this in our studio by beginning or ending every class with prayer, using clean music, tasteful costumes, and God-glorifying performances.

“Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” Psalm 100:2 (NIV) “Let us praise His name with dancing.” Psalm 149:3

Respect
We believe in the importance of loving and respecting others through our words and actions. As a part of the SSD family, we show respect to our students in the way we interact with them. We also require that our students respect our teachers both in and outside the class room.

“The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:31 (NIV) “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.” Romans 12:10 (ESV)

Joy
Suzanne’s is a safe environment where students can enjoy learning the art of dance while building life-long friendships. By keeping a positive attitude, we try to cultivate a fun, family-friendly environment.

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 (NIV)

Communication
Communication is key at our studio. We believe in open and honest communication between staff, parents, and students. When speaking to others, it must be done in a loving and respectful way.

“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” (Colossians 4:6)

Excellence
Combining passion, focus, and talent spurs our students and staff on to excellence of dance and heart. By using significant curricula, training our staff, and raising the bar for our students, we inspire them to be the best they can be.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord,” Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
